Artist Statement: My artwork is about the influences life’s experiences make on us, the situations we humans get into, and about the effect we have on others. I work in many mediums. I'll choose graphite when I want to render in intricate detail and invite the viewer in close, creating an intimacy in which to experience the piece. When I want to express mood or strong emotion I'll work in paint. Watercolor, or oil, and sometimes acrylic as each offer its unique qualities.
